Interested in joining us? Interested in serving your nation and your community in one of the most rewarding volunteer positions you'll ever find? Great! We'd love to meet you and discuss the many opportunities and rewards of volunteer service in the Civil Air Patrol.

If you are at least 18 and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien, you can join CAP as a senior member. CAP offers many avenues of volunteer service for senior members, including flight operations, communications, training and mentoring for cadets, and aerospace education. We also need volunteers for community outreach, media relations and administrative responsibilities.

The CAP cadet program builds strong citizens for the future by providing leadership training, technical education, scholarships and career education to young men and women, ages 12 to 21. Civil Air Patrol offers more than $200,000 in college scholarships each year, and about 10 percent of each year’s freshman class at the U.S. Air Force Academy is comprised of former CAP cadets.

Sound interesting? Come join us! Our general membership meetings are held every Monday evening, except holidays, at 7:00 PM at the base of the control tower at Castle airport, 3515 Hardstand Ave, Atwater, CA 95301. If you decide to join the squadron, a CAP member will walk you through the application procedure and will answer any of your questions concerning CAP.
